Tina is head of our Residential Property Department and has over 18 years' experience in residential conveyancing,
and thoroughly enjoys this area of work which enables her to assist many Clients with their sales and purchases to ensure as smooth a transaction as is possible.
Tina has worked in the legal industry, within conveyancing, since 1999. In 2002, Tina commenced her training to be a Legal Executive and working full time,
and raising her family also, she qualified as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2007 and as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2009.
Tina worked in two very reputable firms locally, gaining valuable experience, prior to then forming McCarthy Webb with her co Principal Jayne McCarthy.
Jayne is head of our Commercial Property Department, and has over 30 years specialising in not only residential conveyancing but commercial property law.
Jayne enjoys the diversity of both residential and commercial property work and finds that the benefit of dealing with both areas of law, enables her to provide a wider range of advice to her Clients
Jayne originally started working in a local firm of solicitors in 1987 primarily as a legal assistant and then in 1994 commenced training as a Legal Executive and also, working full time,
she qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1999.
Once qualifying as a Fellow, Jayne then continued with her studying at the College of Law and qualified as a Solicitor in 2005.
Jayne remained with her original firm for over 22 years until in 2010, she formed McCarthy Webb with her co Principal Tina Webb.
Rebecca is head of our Private Client and Probate team.
Rebecca is a Chartered Legal Executive and Commissioner for Oaths and has worked in the field of Private Client law since 1999,
qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2007.
She has previously worked at an Eastbourne branch of a large south-east law firm for sixteen years,
and spent a further three years working for a smaller firm in Hastings,
returning to Eastbourne to join McCarthy Webb in early 2019 to head our Private Client department.
Rebecca specialises in Wills, Probates and Powers of Attorney and is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and a full accredited member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly).
Rebecca also sits on the Board of Trustees of Age UK East Sussex
Katie specialises in residential freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new build properties, transfers of equity,
re-mortgages and also equity releases and has specialised in this area of law for over 10 years, having worked in the industry for more than 16 years.
Katie originally started work in the legal profession in 2002, and gaining valuable experience from this date,
Katie achieved promotion to taking on her own fee earning responsibilities within the area of Conveyancing from 2007 onwards.
Katie has held positions in local firms, managing their branch offices and more recently was head of the Conveyancing department for over two years prior to her move to McCarthy Webb.
Ellie joined McCarthy Webb when the office first opened in 2010 as our receptionist. Realising the skills of Ellie,
she was quickly promoted to assisting the Conveyancing department and then in 2012 Ellie started her training with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Ellie is now an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and whilst recently taking time off for maternity leave,
plans to continue her studying on her return to qualify fully as a Fellow of this Institute.
Gemma joined McCarthy Webb in 2017 after having worked for over 20 years in the optical and retail sector.
Gemma will usually be the first person you encounter on contacting McCarthy Webb and her friendly demeanour and eagerness to assist quickly puts people at their ease.
Gemma very much believes in the philosophy of treating other people as you would like to be treated.
Georgie joined McCarthy Webb in 2014 and with her enthusiasm, enjoyment and flair for both residential and commercial conveyancing, she initially assisted Jayne McCarthy
within both of these areas and latterly Katie Holman within residential conveyancing.
Since joining McCarthy Webb, Georgie has gained a wealth of experience in being able to manage clients’ expectations, progress transaction files, achieving timescales
required by clients and ensure the best outcome for all clients and as such, Georgie is now starting to build her own caseload, and also plans to take on further study in in the future.
Hannah has worked within the conveyancing field since 2015. Having worked in a local East Sussex firm at an entry level role
Hannah gained a wealth of experience which enabled her to quickly progress. She joined McCarthy Webb as a Legal Assistant
in April 2018 and currently assists Tina Webb, Head of Residential Conveyancing.
Hannah will begin her training to become a Licensed Conveyancer later this year.
Joe joined McCarthy Webb in 2019, as a Paralegal, working within the Commercial Property department.
Prior to joining McCarthy Webb, Joe worked locally within another law firm gaining valuable experience in both commercial and residential property matters.
Having graduated from university in the summer of 2017, Joe enrolled with Guildford University of Law on a part time basis, to undertake the Legal
Practice Course and is on track to qualify as a Solicitor in 2022.
Joe prides himself on his friendly, approachable and proactive attitude which means that he can guide clients through their transaction with the ease and
transparency that is at the heart of the McCarthy Webb ethos.
Vicky began working part-time at McCarthy Webb as an office assistant whilst studying for a BA (Hons) in Art and Design.
Following graduation, in 2017 Vicky joined the firm in a full-time role assisting in both the Private Client and Conveyancing Departments.
Vicky has since been promoted to Office Administrator and also carries out secretarial duties.
